North ______ East West

Adios, Peru. Here´s a view of Lake Titicaca.

Oh, hey.
Now I´m in Chile. (Now its monday, now its tuesday)
After bags were packed, drinks were drank, and goodbyes were said, I made my way south to Santiago.

I´ve been here two days now, and its SO DIFFERENT. There are tons of people everywhere, a clean and efficient metro system, and hot showers. I welcome some of these changes, but still kinda miss the grittyness and small town feel of Cusco.

I started working at the Woman´s Crisis Center, which is exactly what it sounds like. It´s a shelter where abused women can go with their kids while they figure out what to do and how to do it. I will be in charge of taking care of their kids from 10 AM to 4 PM, which is insane because there are about 15 kids, ages 1 to 13. Buah.

Vamos a ver, vamos a ver.

Also, drop me a comment if you read this blog of mine... It´s the only way I know anyone sees it, and, as of now, only about two people see it I think.

I'm pretty sure a lot more people see your blog than leave comments. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing pictures of Santiago. Any stray dogs? or alpacas?

Me too. You are an amazing photographer; I look forward to your pics. Also, I have a thing for the psychology and social comparisons between countries and people. Am always interested in other viewpoints. You are also inspiring in that you are trying to do something with your life outside of the usual comfort zone, and for that alone, I commend you.

You can always come back to Cuzco! What will you do without the hot chocolate and ¨massages, my friend!¨ and Roots?! (and, of course, your new favorite people?!)

I am sure you will be great with your new kiddos! Keep the stories coming!

I look for it every day. The photos are fabulous. I communicate with your Dad about how creative the site is. I also communicate my parental anxiety - you know dog bites, rabies etc. Have fun. Keep sending entries.
